Are you an adoptee searching for your birth parents? Need help finding your biological parents? Whether you have non-identifying info or not, I can help you find your parents using your DNA.
Perhaps you have already taken an autosomal DNA test to help you find your birth father and/or birth mother. The lists of DNA matches can be very overwhelming, and the genealogy research skills needed to build family trees for the most important matches, and piece together how you are related to those DNA matches can take years to acquire. As a professional genealogist with over 25 years of experience, I can help you discover your biological family.
I have access to many subscription online databases and have worked extensively with matches at AncestryDNA, FTDNA, MyHeritage DNA, and 23andMe. As I work on your case, I will be contacting you by e-mail with updates. If needed, I will help with transferring your DNA to the other sites so you gain more matches.
I can help you to find your birth parent or birth parents, or to find birth parents for your biological parent or grandparent. The person who has the unknown parent(s) must be within 2 generations of the DNA test taker.
What if you are an adoptee searching for birth parents from a closed adoption? Can I find birth parents with no names? Can I find biological parents with little or no information?: Yes! I use your DNA matches to identify your birth parents. If you have no information or little information, I can still help you learn who your parents are.
How Long Does It Take?: It is impossible to predict how many research hours will be required to solve your birth parent’s identity (or both birth parents’ identities). I have solved cases in as little as 2 hours but also have had some take months. I am confident that I can solve your question in a short time, so I offer this package. I will work on your case for a minimum of 15 hours in the initial week (or the first week after your DNA results are ready), and then at least 5 hours a week until it is solved. This service is intended for people born in the USA or Canada

FAQ
What if I don’t have Non-Identifying Info?
This isn’t a problem. I will be using your DNA matches to identify your birth family. Non-Identifying Info is helpful, but not necessary. Sometimes the Non-Identifying Info is misleading or untrue anyways.
Should I test at AncestryDNA, 23andMe, FTDNA, or MyHeritage DNA?
Ideally all of the above. I usually recommend testing at AncestryDNA and then transferring to MyHeritage DNA and FTDNA. This is usually the least expensive and easiest option.
Why should I hire you to solve this for me?
For many people, it is less stressful to have someone else do the work on solving the mysteries. As I am a professional genealogist I have paid subscriptions to many online databases, many of which are relatively expensive, and you may not have any other use for. I am also very experienced in building family trees quickly and spotting errors in the trees of DNA matches. It takes quite some time to learn how to map DNA segments, how to identify MRCA (Most Recent Common Ancestors) in DNA matches etc. For the average person, these are not skills you are likely to use again. It is literally my full-time job, and I stay on top of learning the latest techniques in genealogy and genetic genealogy.
Can you solve for my adopted parent/grandparent?
If your parent was adopted, and is not able to be tested directly, I can still solve for their birth parents using your DNA matches. In this case, it is ideal if your other parent can also DNA test, so we can sort your matches that are from the other parent. It is also ideal if you have other siblings who can test as well, who will also make their matches available to me when researching.
I wasn’t adopted, but I have learned that the man I thought was my father isn’t, at least not biologically. Can you help me find out who my biological father is?
Absolutely. If your mother will also test, or you have half-siblings who will also test it would help but is not necessary for success.
What are the limitations of this type of research?
Certain people will be more difficult to solve for unless they are lucky in their matches. This included French Canadians, because of the high amount of matching with other French Canadians and people with certain Jewish heritage for the same reason.
Also, in many cases, it is impossible to tell without further testing which of a group of brothers or a group of sisters is the birth parent.
